You are spot on .. We have now been retired and Ccrs for two and a half years and to say we feel like the scum of the waterways is an understatement.. Not just on this forum , but as soon as you mention that you don't have a home marina or home mooring people just look down their noses at you. Yes we have a shiny and newish boat , but as soon as you say that you are a Ccrs everything changes. Its such a shame as most of the Ccrs we have met have been the salt of the Earth and the most friendliest people we have ever met, My advice would be to ignore the few idiots on this forum that are anti Ccrs and come and join us genuine Ccrs and enjoy life on the cut with like minded people...

As you said ..Anyway, CCing at weekends and leaving the boat empty on a (14 day) mooring during the week is surely nothing to object to. Chances are the boat will do more moving than some CCers!.... I guess you have a problem with CCrs..Just lump us altogether as CCms and wasters .

Agree , Abide by the rules and there is no problem .

After reading and following this Forum for many years ,What people say and what they mean is sometimes very confusing .

On the South Oxford there are very few Marina moorings . In fact Cropredy is full and they are now looking to make the Marina even bigger.

The trouble is you will get a few Pi$$ takers. But I think the majority play by the rules .

I believe a lot of them are known as Dumpers. (Boats that are moved every couple of weeks by people that don't want to pay Marina fees) But the last time I mentioned this on here I had a load of negative comments ..Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with Dumpers as long as they abide by the rules ...
