That is a good point which I agree with. How would you feel though if an identical company making the same product near you didn't have to pay it!!

Bite all you like darling!! Yes aim suggesting that there are certain people not all! When you read comments saying would be good to watch the mass exodus, I just feel that there are a lot of people on this forum that are enjoying the drama, again not all.. Even at the meeting there was somebody there who left the marina a year ago who is now a "continuous cruiser" this persons boat has not moved from outside the marina in a year. What has this got to do with this person apart from drama!!

wouldn't say storm in a teacup however I don't think outcome is what the majority want on here.

As far as I know no boats have left yet. The marina is due to be sealed off on April 14th. After the 14th you can still exit the marina but you will not be able to get in. Having said all that more than likely a new agreement will be set up so nothing will happen. Don't read the dramatics on this forum, there is no where near as much dram actually at the marina. Everyone I have spoken to seems quite positive.

It was said that as the holding company made the agreement and the company has now gone into liquidation. There is no agreement and no debt.

It was an open meeting however if I did not moor here what business would it be of mine.

Sorry to disappoint the Paul haters on here but him and his partner Chris along with Roy spoke very well. I am not worried and that seemed to be the same with the majority of people that I know. Obviously there were people there that had no reason to be there. Also some people that got personal.

Just back from the meeting. It was very busy!!

Maybe I am ageist, I don't think so. That is my opinion from experiences I have had with marinas. No I am not Paul by the way.

I think that there is a bit more to it than "just kept the money" when I say good marina to me a good marina is the people. This is the first marina I have been where people are not constantly moaning about a bin not being emptied or a bit of grass not being cut. Don't get me wrong I am sure that they are probably are here. It's just not as bad as some. Probably to do with age really as I think at Pillings people are younger so they still work and are not wandering around all day moaning. There seems to be more discussion on this forum than at the marina. People do want to know what is happening and those people including myself as a moorer will go to the meeting. That is providing that we can get in as there seems to be a lot of people wanting to go when it really has nothing to do with them. If they want to know the situation they should contact CRT.

it's not a case of wishing to stay. I have built a life round this area as I have said before I do not wish to comment on my opinion of the money being owed. What I will say is Pillings is a very good marina, out of the 4 others I have moored at this is by far the best. I do not feel the need to be in the office all the time or stood around gossiping, this is the reason I have no opinion of Paul. I see him rarely and when I do he is pleasant.

It is an open meeting. Emails were sent to everybody on the marina mailing list, on Facebook and Twitter and notices put up on the door of the marina office and marina bar. I will be going to the meeting. I think a lot of people will be from the marina. Hopefully we will be able to stay.
