Something failed with the forward gear selection mid manoeuvre and putting the throttle ahead engaged reverse at an alarming rate!
They can be well worn on the Broads cant they?
I would really like one of the modern electric/hybrid ones, suc6a good looking boat and not on CRT waterways

True I have seen the most awful cockup by senior officers rewarded by promotion 😪. Though later one was demoted by court martial and discharged without pension, I was senior witness against him as it happens. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Fender was just dust on top of the sea. Limped to dry dock in Gib for several weeks and repairs in the millions lol.
I can imagine a few people were in deep poo after that?

It would because I have no backseat as it's a 2 seater, so the battery would easily fit behind the rear seat where the fuel tank fits

I found most overheating was caused by the fan drawing engine bay heat through the radiator along with oils etc, my clan was the same, I retro fitted a front radiator and electric fan problem sorted same for imps.

You can buy epoxy primer better by far and waterproof for 6 months, comes in big rattle cans also etch properties, works on fiberglass as well and can painted without rubbing down as long as painted within 24 hours, mines was painted within the hour today looking good

I bought some crap from Lidl, it was for my front stove, it was rubbish all ash and no heat, after getting a load of hardwood off cuts, I put the remainder in the Rayburn which it nearly choked up! The anthracite I normally use produces a qtr of the ash and is cheaper, but it won't burn on the front stove

I looked at these for my boat and couldn't see any reason to fit one, there were others on the market that were better but given the canal environment how long before a mattress destroyed it beyond repair? I think I will look at 4 bladed ones when the new more powerful motor goes in

I had a 55ft narrow Boat for 12 yars and got around but ironically never made it to the shorter ones anyway. Got as far as Chester and the Welsh canal then returned back south.
It depends what you want to do.
57-59ft is generally regarded as a 'go everywhere' size.
A & C is for very big boats, you can get to the east side of Leeds in them.
