We are at Chirk as my husband lives down there for work during the week. The facilities are limited (no showers etc) but the area is lovely

We live across the road from them and they have 2 new sailaways that they are refitting. Looks like they are upgrading their fleet

You can buy a new boiler element and replace, pain in the ar$e but a lot cheaper than a brand new Squirrel Any idea where from as I've trawled the Internet for it, I'm up for changing it if it saves us a few bob :-)

Our Morso Squirrel is leaking from the heating coil so therefore we cannot have our radiator working. Can you just replace the coil or is it a full unit???

Mine looks good after 3 years. It is good for something a little different, we used a local sign writer and 2 of these cost about £60

My husband (yachtsman at heart) sometimes puts a spring on too as the canals around us have many holidaymakers that seem to think slowing down past moored boats is not for them. I must say we haven't got a bow thruster :-)

I feel the same, we have an 18 year old boy at home but as soon as he is gone so is the house and we will move on the boat. I think I'm a boater at heart so we are already downsizing and making it not so comfortable for him so he doesn't want to stay at home

Just wanted to say hello as we are new to this site. We have owned "Mr Tickle" since February 2009 and until recently she was moored in Middlewich but we have moved her down to Chirk as my husband works down that way. "Mr Tickle" is a 50ft Semi Trad 1991 Mike Heywood boat and is our pride and joy When I work out how to put photos on I will Sarah & Andy
