  1. Nantwich is good place but always windy up on the embankment plus never any moorings.... Middlewich to Audlem is doable in a long afternoon... Done it before Wardle lock to Barbridge 4 hours Barbridge to Audlem is around 3 hours It's not set in Stone as I quite like the moorings by hack green locks. Or Barbridge it's self Cheers Cheshire rose. Yes I want to go back past Norbury on our lAst night & wind and moor at Gnosall. Then a sort hope back the last morning back to Norbury
  2. Having always wanted to do the FCR i have never got round to doing it. well this trip am not taking no for an answer.... this is my planned route. leaving from Norbury on Sat afternoon. DAY 1 Norbury - Wheaton Ashton DAY 2 AM Wheaton ashton - penkridge DAY 2 PM. Penkridge - Tixhall Wide DAY 3 AM. Tixhall wide - Stone DAY 3 PM. Stone - Was meant to be Milton on the Caldon but have changed my mind now due to comments on here. so any ideas?? DAY 4 AM. Milton - Kidsgrove via harecastle tunnel. DAY4 PM. Kidsgrove - Wheelock DAY5 AM. Wheelock - Middlewich DAY5 PM. Middlewich - Audlem DAY6. Audlem - Market Drayton DAY7. Market Drayton - Gnosall Heath. DAY8. Gnosall heath - Norbury!! I do enjoy long days crusing as long as i have a break in middle. wot do you fellow boaters think?
  3. Yes saw the water womble moored up on the runcorn arm last week, I have moored for a few hours at the kings randsom a couple of times. Also seen a few boats moored oppersite on the towpath side. Wouldnt think it would be safe thou. You just cant bet Lymm although i do get a cob on at the amount of private boats that moor on the 48 hr mooring for weeks on end. That light blue & yellow boat wih odd crusier stern seems to always be moored there. So we have to moor opersite the crusing club on pins :-(

  8. not to sure were that could be. unless its buy that pub just past stretford? not many mooring with rings on the bridgewater to be honest

  10. We're about in Sale did u moor overnight? Wouldn't think it would be safe to moor around that way overnight.

  12. I'd rather lock down heart break hill than lock up them. We done it clockwise excellent ring we did it in 10 days with plenty of sightseeing & time to spare. Are u starting at Llangollen?

  14. Yes polish that engine Jerry......bit bad your stuck waiting to get on the river but your living aboard now.....
  15. Think larch willow & holly are still about Having actually Hired larch when it was with the previous owners it is a really nice boat. It looked good when passed it moored up a few weeks back at The yard!
  16. Yes the as in were am Talking about a few boats moored here. Everythink ok apart from Being woke up at 3 am by 3 people trying to get on wrong boat
  17. Me to i helped you through Wardle lock a few weeks back. Excellent boat. Dont remember much only your croc sandles haha! We are actually moored up here now. As we tried to moor at castlefeild quay. But as normally lots of unattended boats left there for weeks on end so no space! And ended up here! Only problem up to now is a girl jumping on roof!
  18. Has anyboby ever had any problems moored up on the wharf on the oppersite side to castlefeild quay??
