  1. When I sold my little terraced house not far from the river in Liverpool some years ago, I saw the deeds for the first time before passing them on to the new owner. There were only two conditions in the deeds that I wasn't aware of, we were not allowed to sell candles from the house, or burn lime
  2. I think maybe that is the problem with the government today, snipping things in the wrong places

  6. I was wondering if they were like LCD screens where a small localised impact can black out half the screen?
  7. Good point. If they get hit with something like half a brick is that likely to cause localised impact damage or would it write off the panel?
  8. As a matter of interest, is there a difference in qualities of the protective glass? Obviously they are not bullet proof but is there a way of determining how tough the glass is? Say from the occasional small stone lobbing oiks? Or is there just a standard rating? Thanks,

  10. The only problem with doing it that way is that whilst you have deleted the main program files you will have left any other files and entries in other parts of the system, plus the registry entries etc? You may get away with doing it and then running Ccleaner registry tool to clear up all the redundant entries, links and shortcuts. Some programs can store their resource libraries etc in many different locations.
  11. I suppose the question is whether it is a genuine concern for a friend's welfare, or whether there is a potential legal issue involved?
  12. Can I suggest if you are running conduit, especially in awkward places, adding a couple of redundant pull through strings just in case. Something I always mean to do, usually forget and always regret

  16. That is interesting because I had interpreted the ruling as being that the difference was in the distance required after a 14 day limit was up? I assumed that the 14 days applied to everyone, but a CCer would be required to move a reasonable distance (parish or whatever) consistent with a continuous journey. Whereas someone with a registered mooring would not have to move the same distance as there was no continuous intent needing to be proven? Perhaps I haven't put that very well, I am still trying to visualise it in my head and it has been a long day

  20. Are you adding salt? I seem to recall that adding salt to pretty much any pulses will prevent them from becoming tender, I could be wrong.
  21. Some of the larger branches of Tesco do authentic black puddings from Bury, some of the best I have tasted and I am quite fussy about my black puddings They did stop doing them for a while but have started again in the last few months, you normally find them on both the fresh meat counter and pre-packed in the refrigerated section.
  22. Thankfully all well, he is apparently away on holiday in Cornwall but is going to sort it for me later tonight. Many thanks for all the advice.
  23. Yes I will, thanks. Good to know it is working normally otherwise.
  24. Thanks, good to hear that it works well. Am just getting answerphones but will keep trying. Nothing back via email. Nothing on the site about being away that I can see but I can't log in as a member. According to one section I have an account but according to another I don't! Hoping it is not because I had to place Liverpool back in Lancashire in order to even register ! Just a bit frustrating but I hope he is not having serious problems.
  25. Thanks, I tried that yesterday.
