  1. Old boys club!!! That's all this is, not NB at all, the real NB are those that are on the cut, if you lot knew anything about narrowboats you wouldn't be calling a rudder nut emelisher a tiller pin, they are about a metre apart, it's the usual story,.......I have a boat.....go no where......but I'm happy to tell everyone else what they are doing wrong.......... Get out on your boat on the cut............oh no better not as you lot don't really know what your doing,..in your marinas.... Bye
  2. Obviously it's the long standing boys club on the go again, otherwise why would ditch crawler comment as he has not been involved in the conversation, One day us cc ,s will win the day! Don't know why you lot have something against us The dog house , who you calling tit
  3. Ditch crawler, I don't know why you give up as you have not replied to this topic!!!!!!!!!!! Richard thank you for the links but none seem to address the problem Helpful tips from lady logarithms are.........not helpful, quote too sensible to fit a d5w, As with most boat owners this was inherited, READ before you type
  4. All very funny, why set up this sort of site if all you get is a bunch of Billy no mates that haven't really any idea about much at all, and probably only took their boat 100yards to turn it around! We all meet the I know it all on the cut, that don't talk to the cc'svas they are riff raff, well they know he'll of a lot more than you lot, at least we are cruising and not sitting in a sterile marina, honestly, I thought we had the same thing in common, Ikea........get a life
  5. I joined this site to gain knowledge and friendship from fellow n boaters, I'm no stranger to boating and I think I know my stuff, my initial question was to where to purchase a rudder bolt embellisher, a helpful sole sent me links to matalan etc for curtain pole ends,... I think he was serious, .........helpful, he added that he had one! Nice, but I am looking for one to give to my wife for a 21st wedding anneversary, not that it seems a lot on this site!!!!! I then had a querie bout my eberspacher.............well I need not have bothered, On this site I thought you would give advice or comment if you k we what you were on about,.........mmmlmmm

  7. I should mention its not hydronic, I did hope to find experienced n boat owners on here, so far all the info I have gained is to use a curtain pole end as a rudder bolt embellishment,!!!! N

  10. Hi all, anyone help!! I've recently fitted a new glow plug to my ebby after it was blowing white smoke and I discovered that the glow plug had split on the coil, now on start it up all I can hear are the relays clicking, I've been given a replacement unit so I have swapped over the relays, still no joy, still clicking, has anyone had this before???????? This unit has been driving me mad, I replaced the pump about 2 months ago as that stopped working Help!!
  11. Hi, I had the same prob, it turned out to be an air block!? I had to continually bleed the system and refill the water tank over and over again, it's a pain but it worked, a friend of mine had a similar prob and turned out to be a slight leak from one of his taps inside the cupboard, hope this helps, if not, it's nice to share experiences
  12. I would go for the first one every time, I looked at that one myself, loved it, but my wife said we couldn't have 2 boats! , Cracking boat!
  13. Morning everyone, does anyone know where I can get on of these, I've only just found out what they are called ( even if that correct) It is a brass ornament that sits on top of the rudder nut at the base of the tiller swan neck, I've been trying to get one for ages as a 21st wedding anneversary gift to my wife, I've only ever seen one or two boats with them on, Can anyone help??????
