  1. We have had problems with fisher men going on our boats, the police came and said there is no such law of trespassing but if theres any damage then something could be done. Angel.
  2. This may be of some help www.canal-warehouse.co.uk/brass-plaques.html Angel.
  3. Hi, Our boat is 2Ft 6", we have tried this twice and have had to turn back because it was to shallow. So I don't think you will be able to do it. If you do try best of luck.
  4. Hi Tony Well what a good question my answer and what I do is always carry my repeat prescription, go to the nearest doctors register as a visitor, see the the doctor and get the prescription then go to the chemist. A big hassle. If I'm away from my home town for two months my doctor will give me double meds if I ask him, never had any problem. Good look with every thing Angel
  5. Well that's boating and "all good fun" Happy Christms!!
  6. these have boats all over the canal system and are very good. www.abnb.co.uk
  7. Hi Martin, I know you didn't do it for any other reason. But the gird is wrong and thats not your fault. At the moment the boats are all safe and lots of people turned up to help. Going back tomorrow to check again.
  8. Hi Martin, That grid is brill if only it was right. Have you been to Torksey today. As I write this my Husband is there with the Locke's, hopefully in a dingy trying to loosen boat ropes before thy sink including our own boat. The risers are at the top of the poles and know where else to go.
  9. Hi All If there is any one on this forum that moors at Torksey or if you know any one that dose, I'm letting you know that the water level is at least 4ft high, and some boat ropes are very tight.
  10. Well my first posting.Since I re-registered as someone else as some members decided to pull me down when I mentioned Malc who no longer is not in this forum,at that time I didn't know. Well here goes again!!!!!!!! Where would we be with out these supper markets, they have a big role play to us boater's, cheaper food and not too far to walk. Most of us can take the trolleys back to our boats and take them back, but what do some do (not just yobs).
  11. Hi, We bought our second boat on e-bay and have not looked back. She was one year old and never been used (as new)didn't go in the water until her second year. That was Severn year's ago, she is now eight year's old and still looking good, we have so many people asking us if we would sell her, so many think that she is new, well we have taken very good care of her. Having said that we are not one of the shining boat parade, we are out and about all year Weather permitting. What I would say is that you really do know what your looking at, if you want an old boat because of price then you must take it at face value and be prepared to do work.
