  1. Silsden to Leeds and back in a week would be quite comfortable boating, We did Skipton to Selby and back in ten days without breaking a sweat but if you did do it I'd look at mooring in Clarence dock in the middle of Leeds instead of Armley !!! Dave

NIck, I'm normally based on the L&L near Skipton and live near there,the only hire boats we see are Canal Boat Escapes, Pennine Cruisers (Skipton), Snaygill (Skipton again,) Silsden Hire Boats (about 6/7 miles east of Skipton) and Shire boats from Sowerby Bridge / Foulridge , I've not seen any others attempt the route that you're talking about.   3. Nick, I've seen several of canal escapes boats and they look really excellent,I especially love the look of n.b. Isobel With regards to the water levels, I wouldn't worry, it hasn't stopped raining for weeks now here in Yorkshire and the reservoirs (well at least for the L & L) are full. Just do your trip and don't worry, it's a great part of the world. Dave
