  1. The socket that pushes into must be pretty mucky too. WD40 is quite a good contact cleaner. Squirt it with it and shove the fuse in and out a few times. Wade Ddiesel, Pinder road Hoddeston 01992 444020 would almost certainly have the correct fuse. Only a few miles from where you are.
  2. If you can get someone to hold the key over at start, feel the engine battery's terminals if either are warm or hot, you have bad connection.
  3. Start with simples. Clean battery terminals and terminal at starter motor and engine earth black cable to battery for cleanleness and tightness.

  20. but I enjoy collecting rain water, but we have Stansted airport only a few miles away and the planes pass overhead at about 1500 ft so have to do it in the middle of the night ''if it's raining because of they're exhaust'' after all the planes have gone to roost.
  21. A couple of boats here have to renew their imersion heater element every year, totally encrusted with lime scale which makes them overheat and go pop. But the tap water here is very hard. My cat would never drink it, only rain or river water. I've just thrown a kettle away where the base started leaking because of it, only a cheap camping one though.
  22. I would not mix it with tap water especially if your in a hard water area. Check your kettle, if there's limescale in it you wll get limescale in your heating system which will eventually corrode and block things up. Same with engine and car engine cooling systems. Use filtered rain water, distilled or de ionized water, not expensive.
  23. I have similar. It's best not to leave the charge lead plugged in, remove it when the charge light stops flashing. New batteries available on Ebay, just read the details on the old one.
  24. I had an enemy once and I wished he'd tread on a rusty nail, he didn't, I did and was limping for weeks.
