  1. Hi. For a standard cratch (approx 5') with a window and zip each side your looking about £680 as for the cratch board they start at £650 in hardwood with saftey glass, or £185 for the framed cratch upgrade see here for photo http://www.kinvercanopies.co.uk/CRATCH_COVERS.html and a 8' pram cover which includes frames about £1500 Cheers Ian
  2. Hi poppetman Where are you based, If you see us around any where just come say hello, we can show you a few tips and tricks...and even show you how to drop the hood the best way! Don't think it's one of ours but don't mind sharing some time and advice(and maybe even a cuppa).
  3. Now finished, Many thanks for the tea and cakes... Oh and the solar panel website.
  4. Brilliant!! In that case can I get you to point them in the direction of post No.7 www.groucuttandhaynes.co.uk
  5. I'm thinking of stopping over at crick this year, got a few folks I want to see, I've tried to contact them with regards supplying some evening entertainment, by way of a small band I used to manage/promote, (Groucutt and Haynes (now River City Portrait)). I never had any replies at all. I hope that there will be some live music of sorts for the evening as sitting in a cold muddy field all night without does not appeal.
  6. We cover the Gloucester area. There are photos in the Canal world forum gallery. Feel free to PM me for any help.
  7. We holiday in the winter as working on boats in the summer is much easier and safer ! Just wanted to know what the Tv show "Uk Boating" was like. The rest is just me rambling on as normal!
  8. Hello All. We got a call the other day from UK Boating TV show.. Has anyone seen it? If so, is it good? They asked if they could film us next week but unfortunately we are booked to go on our winter hols (Saalbach in Austria for a bit of slipping down a mountain). I do hope we can rearrange as it sounds like it could be a very interesting day.
  9. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 10 posts to view.
  10. Hi Ally, Yes as you correctly assumed you got filtered but not spammed, we've been having a few sever problems with forwarding of mail to my smart(or not so smart phone). I'll call you guys in the morning ( loads of ideas). Sorry we've been quite busy with the 'ready for Christmas rush' and haven’t checked this post as the guinea pigs are now out there.
  11. I think this could be the case or the newer one may be in PVC or Heavy Weight Acrylic rather than Hooding, which didn't suffer with the problem, but would shrink a hell of a lot.
  12. Cheers Molly, And to answer your question its not actually our best photos in our gallery, I only popped a few up to show people what we could achieve when we first joined canalworld(I got a little told off for posting too many in one go so stopped)., there are quite a few nice ones out there now without a photo of them in sight, We are very proud of our work and like too show it off but I do understand that it looks like massive free advertising to some people so try to be very selective with anything that is posted from now on. Also, Molly If your local to us (as your location is Kinver so I take it that's what you mean) would you like to PM us as I have some ideas to test (for free) and am looking for a boat or two that are local and willing to help.
  13. I'm not sure if we have ever quoted "3 months at least"... I think you may be thinking of Wilsons cause they did have a 12 week waiting list after "That time", But to be fair, I think that theirs has also now been reduced to about 6 weeks or so.
  14. Yep no problem, Give us a bell 07717218679, One of us will have the phone with us most of the time days or evenings.
  15. OOO. I like those little magnets... May just purchase them because they look good. Small things and small minds hey! You know what they say about a "however or but"... Everything said before it is worth nothing. As I see it Ally is the potential customer, We have just made contact, Now we need to know what they are trying to achieve and we can then design said cratch to suit. But thanks for your input.
  16. OOOOOOOW.... That's what we like to hear.. Drop us an email if you like and we can have a blame storm...sorry I ment brain storm. Best to send it to sales'at'kinvercanopies.co.uk We like new and interesting ideas.
  17. Too be fair, you managed three swans necks. We are trying to work on some very simple and cheap magnetic double glazing to help keep the ice off the windows. We are looking for live on board voulenteers to test them on. (In the local West Midlands) See this thread for more details. http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=42781&st=0&p=783761entry783761
  18. Cheers.. Our company view and also my own personal one is that honesty is the best policy. As I found out from my previous employment, if the company tell people little white lies as to where when and why they will always come back and bite you on the bum! Life is so much better without the hassle of trying to remember who has been told what and why...Just tell the truth, YES we can do it but it will be after Christmas, NO we can't do it...simples! Also keep people informed...when you know ...let the customer know.
  19. At the moment, nothing(boo)... That, to be fair is why we need to test it out first then brain storm ideas to try and stop the criminal element of the waterways system from nicking them!! Please remember people this is only a test.. and once more to really get back on topic...have we any 'local' volunteers. Closest so far is Brum..
  20. I take this point fully on board, We shall contact the owners of this boat and inform them of the inherit dangers and also note the points to any future customers with such a problem.
  21. I see your point and I agree that yes, it's gentle advertising. But I really did want to let people know it was possible to have still have a pram even if you have a vent in an area that would normally be covered.
  22. Hi, Just a quickie, We may soon be looking for another volunteer/guinea pig to have fitted to their boat (no holes drilled as it’s all magnetic) FREE OF CHARGE a prototype of our soon to be manufactured “Exterior soft double glazing” 4 conditions apply. 1. You must be within 5 miles or so of Stourbridge/Kinver. 2. You must be a live on board as we need your feed back with different weather conditions and times of day/night. 3. You must have a steel boat. 4. If it doesn’t work and wastes all of our time then you can’t moan about it! Any of you out there up for the job then please PM me or reply to this post. Cheers
