  1. Just found this thread. I was going to try this material for my hatch renovation, but was put off as Direct Plastics say that UHMWPE and HDPE have poor bonding properties. Can you specify what "gel" adhesive you used, as I don't know what these products are. Thanks
  2. ... and another vote for midservicecentre, but don't forget to remove the sensor unit when winterising, it is susceptible to frost damage (a 2 min job to remove and insert a 15 mm blank end in the T piece) Ian
  3. If you have verified the pressure gauge works, then no harm will come if you keep pumping with water pump off and tap open. If it wont hold pressure then either the diaphragm or the valve as failed. If the diaphragm has failed then the air you pumped in to the accumulator will find its way out of your taps in bursts of air when you turn your pump back on.
  4. Hi We have the other extreme, our boat is ex-hire, built for long distance cruising, and has 1500 litres capacity in two long tanks either side of the well deck. It means you don't have to worry too much about regular tank filling ! I was recommended to line these with butyl inserts, however they are rather expensive. Not decided yet. Cheers Ian
  5. My first post on here so here goes. Agree with the previous post, flow rate not pressure is the issue. You shouldn't need to worry about 30 PSI. However if your system incorporates a PRV this will typically operate around 3 to 4 bar (45-60 psi). If your pipework fails before the PRV operates then you do have a problem! Your breaker rating should be related to the cable size on that circuit so check cable size first if you are uprating the load. An accumulator (if fitted) will help a lot with short term multipoint demand on the supply, the bigger the better. Check your accumulator operation. See other threads on here for accumulator setup. On our system we have 2 pumps in parallel. This doubles the max flow rate and has the added advantage that if one fails completely you still have a water supply. If they both have different set pressures then the second one will only cut in under high demand conditions. They are independently switched so we can also manage using one or the other.
