  1. Now I have been woken up... My guess is it is the front part of a childs scooter, the two prongs would be attached to the handlebars and the other end to the board, however, I may be wrong.
  2. Well.... A cassette will be easier to fit on a besom...
  3. I've never heard of a reed relay before... however wrapping the 50mm2 cable around it might perceivably be a challenge. edit... love Smelly who must check whether he's logged into SWMBO's profile...

  7. As long as you don't ask 'is it cold in winter', pitching up at a lockside and chatting is usually welcome. As for getting to know boaters, joining the forum is a good start, you could go along to one of the banters if you want to meet people in the flesh (we are not ALL axe murderers) there are at least to banters planned for August as far as I am aware. BTW welcome to the forum!
  8. Not sure if I count as a separate entity as I live on the same boat as Smelly, but I'd be happy to help out too if you wish.

  18. I'm glad to say it must've been the fuel. Second start since a new filter and, apart from the first few minutes when the engine speed pretty much oscillated it's been fine. Phew!

  23. In the depths of the last 2 winters we've not bought more than 6 bags of Taybrite per month due to a reliable, free, wood supply. We've already got most of next winter's stacked, the rest is Ash the tree kind... Still standing but that won't hurt because it's Ash. Put that in your sums and smoke it. OTOH the ash can be a pain, but I'd argue that as simple as possible is less likely to break when you least want it to so i'll put up with the ash. I am interested in this Refleks business but one of our motivations is dinosaur preservation so keeping the wood supply together is important. oops... Luv Smelly (I like kittens too)
