Thames seam boat engine room

I thought this might be of interest to some forum members.

 

I've been put in charge of watering and stoking the boiler and keeping the engine oiled on the steam launch Streatley for the past few trips as the regular engineers were away. I'm not a steam enthusiast but I did enjoy it. Damn hot down there though!

Fantastic. STREATLEY is one magnificent boat, but I didn't realise she was still powered by steam...
