Grassman
I need my 2 stern deck boards replacing. I'm loathe to attempt it myself so I'm looking for recommendations for somewhere I can take the boat to have them properly measured and made/fitted. At the same time I'm considering having some sound insulation fitted to the whole of the underside of the stern deck. Rather than make a special trip I was thinking of having it done somewhere along the way when we venture out in April so I'm looking for somewhere on the following route; T&M between Rugeley and Shardlow/Sawley River Soar/GU Leicester Line GU Main Line between Braunston and Gayton North Oxford Canal Coventry Canal I reckon there are 20+ places along this route that may be able to do it so I'm really looking for any of those that you have had work done in the past and been pleased with it, and ideally had new deck boards fitted, but I realise the latter is probably unlikely. Any feed back would be appreciated please.
NB Lola
We had ours done at Willington, including sound proofing, good job.
Grassman
I realise my original question was rather specific, so due to the shortage of answers I'll revise my question slightly. Even if you haven't had deck boards made and fitted, are there any of the following boatyards where you've had other work done and have been pleased with the results and their service? Also are there any where you have had a bad experience (reply by PM if it's more appropriate)? Weltonfield Narrowboats Stowe Hill Workshop Gayton Marina Braunston Marina Alvecote Marina Norton Canes Boatbuilders, Glascote Thanks
