Guest
Sacrificial anodes are said to corrode instead of the steel hull hence the sacrificial bit. There is much debate about wether they work, or even make the situation worse. Some steel boats appear to live a long life without any-some steel boats rust happily despite healthy anodes. Our previous boat on slipping was found to be very good, and the anodes were nearly destroyed-they had (possibly) worked in this instance. I would personally fit them, but can see the other argument.
