Pet Safety on boats...

I suspend a green plastic milk crate (salvaged from the cut) between two fender eyes on the boats side away from the pontoon.

I leave the crate and its wooden platform just protruding a few inches above the waters surface, so as to provide a surface to climb

out on and spring back up on to the deck.

I have enough problems trying to get them to wear collars let alone a lifejacket.
