Homebase do a white mdf, 4mm I think.

Just make sure it is moisture resistent mdf for better quality. You could always have a laminate supplier produce a white laminate on a ply of your choice. I recently had some 18mm wbp ply white laminated both sides for £90 a sheet. Single sided would come down to about £65 a sheet. 6mm would be cheaper than that.

I will take a look at Homebase tomorrow and most of the other DIY chains to try and get some idea and also look into the laminate side of things.

In the meantime if anyone else knows of a supplier I would be most gratefull.

Lathams timber merchants do all sorts of boards.

OK I can get old of 2620mm x 2070mm melamine faced 8mm MDF for £24.00 plus VAT but obviously you would have to come get it.

 

I don't know how good the price is because we don't use it, but we normally get fairly good prices on materials.

Thanks Garry for getting info for me but West Yorkshire is quite a hike from where I am based (near Milton Keynes) so I am afraid I will have to decline from that one.Lathams however is just down the road so will probably have alook at them (Thanks Big Steve)
