The OP doesn't need a mooring until May. Perhaps it might still be worth a call maybe nearer the time. Things change.

Location wise Horninglow is spot on but the very close proximity ie directly beside/beneath the A38 would put me off. Handy for water and a sani. staion though.

There were some at egginton on the CRT auction-but agree about the noise There are also some towpath moorings at Willingto again Crt-so I guess too long in time

Is Barton too far-last time I looked it was cheaper than willington

There is also a house with several moorings near the Dove aquaduct but don't know who owns it out
