blackrose
Does anyone know of any reasons why this wouldn't be suitable to install on a boat? http://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/p/bo610.5ss/baumatic-bo610.5ss-built-in-gas-oven#maindesc Or if anyone can recommend something else (of a similar size or smaller) I'd be interested. Ideally I'd like something with a more traditional, retro look, but I can't find anything.
Kwacker
I thought Baumatic went bust last year http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/appliance-industry-news/88-baumatic/3754-baumatic-in-receivership.html Update due to lazy googling, now owned by Candy. http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/appliance-industry-news/88-baumatic/3767-baumatic-bought-by-candy-confirmed.html Edited November 2, 2014 by Kwacker
LoneEcho
I can't see any reason why it shouldn't be suitable. Looks similar spec to one I had fitted in my new kitchen last year(link below). Mine does require 240v to operate oven as it has a small fan. http://ao.com/product/XOU60LPG-Belling-Gas-Single-Oven-Stainless-Steel-12006.aspx
LoneEcho
By looking at the manual for the one you have linked to, it appears it has the same cooling fan that the Belling has. http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Technical/DataSheets/Baumatic_2014/BMbo610_5ss_020413.pdf
blackrose
So the Baumatic has a cooling fan but it's not a fan assisted oven? I guess with a small oven like this that's not so important?
LoneEcho
I think that's how it works. Mine seems to draw hardly any power when on.
