Steve Smyth
I had bookmarked their site at http://www.cygnusholidays.com/ and now it seems to be gone away. Anyone know where they went or if they are still in business? Any general comments on the Scottish lowland canals for holidays? Cheers Steve

Cheers Steve Doesn't look good does it - If you want to see any sites that used to be on the interweb, try the brilliant goback machine. It caches copies of internet sites and you'll find Cygnus on there along with their 'phone number

A chap bought a boat from another hire company to run it himself but it didn't work out, he bought a little steam boat to play with and sold the narrow boat. There are several hire bpats up here, Blcak Prince, Alvechurch and Capercaillie Cruisers. They are all managed by Hamish from Caparcaillie. Have alook at http://www.capercailliecruisers.co.uk/ I have no connection with the company but we have a boat on the union canal and know Hamish. In fact, if you wnat to see some piccies of our Lowland canals have a look at http://nbgamebird.co.uk/
