it's not a fridge full of beer that presents a power problem, it's when you start drinking it and put fresh warm stuff in to replace it that your power supply will be found wanting.

.................. the moral is ............ 'do not drink beer'....................... :)

Well, a bit of water has flown under the bridge since this post started but…..

 

I can now state without a shadow of doubt that my fridge and freezer use considerably more power in the summer months than they do in the winter – obvious really – hind site is a wonderful thing!!

 

In summer, both fridge and freezer pumps are running almost continuously, consuming the best part of 120 Amp/hrs per 24 hour period. Frightening really!!!!

 

The fridge compressor consumes aprox 2 amps while the freezer compressor consumes aprox 4 amps, both are modern 12V Danfos parts.

 

Must learn to live without a freezer!!!!
