Jon
Calling anyone who is have a boat built... Please keep us updated on your progess by posting in the new Build Blogs forum. This section is so that those who are having a boat built can update on progress and share ideas. This is designed to be a diary or 'blog' rather than a discussion, so please observe the following. - Only one thread (topic) per boat built. - The author of the thread should provide the name of the builders (where applicable) and any other relevant information This section is designed so that the author can update on progress as their boat is being built, so that their. experiences can be shared. Replies to the topic should only be by the author, or by other members when a directly relevant point needs to be made. Please post any other topics and requests for help in the boat building and maintenance forum. Do you wish to promoe an event? There is now a forum for events during 2005. The Events 2005 section has been designed as an events directory. If you wish to add an event to the directory, please do the following: 1) Click 'New Topic' 2) Enter the event name as the thread title 3) Enter the date of the event as the comment 4) Remember to include location, cost of entry, opening times and a description of the event 5) Please include a link or contact number where possible. Please note your event will need to be approved by a moderator before it will can be displayed. New rules on Editing and deleting posts I have been having problems recently with threads being reported to me, which are then removed before I get a chance to read them. As such, I have implemented the following policy. - No one will be able to delete their own posts. This is because is leaves gaps in threads and makes discussion very difficult to follow - Members will be able to edit their posts for 48hrs after they have been posted. This is to allow a chance for members to think about what they have posted and change if required. Remember that once you have submitted you post (with certain exceptions) it is in the public domain and can be read by anyone. Anyone who wishes to have a post deleted or edited after the 48hrs should contact a Site Crew member (Bernie, John or myself) with a reason for removing the post and they will review the thread and make a decision. Many thanks, Jon
