The Bagdad Boatman (waits)
The CAV filter can be replaced with an in line Delphi filter with a glass bowl underneath, but you have to replace the plastic drain screw plug with a metal screw plug, make sure you cut the replacement screw to size or you will crack the glass bowl. Find a Lucas depot who will stock the filter.

Find a Lucas depot who will stock the filter. Glass bowls are only acceptable for the BSS if they're certified to a particular level of fire resistance, AIUI. Aluminium bowls are also available, which comply. You are right about the plastic plug. Tim
