JS3M fuel filter

Hi every one,

I have a js3m however I have one one fuel filter that protects my fuel system and engine.

on the filter it show CAV BFA11 and the filter is made of square pieces of felt like material that is acting as the filter,

When checking the filter I had some diesel bug with I just cleaned away.

My question is please does any one know or have a fuel system etc the I could replace

The CAV filter can be replaced with an in line Delphi filter with a glass bowl underneath, but you have to replace the plastic drain screw plug with a metal screw plug, make sure you cut the replacement screw to size or you will crack the glass bowl. Find a Lucas depot who will stock the filter.

Glass bowls are only acceptable for the BSS if they're certified to a particular level of fire resistance, AIUI. Aluminium bowls are also available, which comply. You are right about the plastic plug.
