Plans for 2014

Off for our first trip this year, start out week today. Monday - Friday, hope it doesn't tip it down, the dog doesn't like the rain and he can't sit on the back if it is.

 

Will be taking the usual clothing for all occasions, t-shirts, jumpers, coats, wet weather gear.

 

No such thing as the wrong weather, just the wrong clothing.

You are going to need boarding planks for the Tyrwhitt NC

We plan to run the bows into the bank leaving the sterns across the river. Will probably tie the end boats stern line to the bridge to stop them swinging round but we should then be able to get on and off from the bows of the boats, well that's the theory anyway !

I don't know the spot, but I'm guessing that not many boats will be wanting to get past while you're there?

 

(one is bound to turn up just as you've got settled in the pub, though )

There will still be room for those to get round us. Although even they will be unlikely if the weed boom is in place!

A week on The Lancaster from Easter weekend till the next weekend.

London, Rome and Vienna before that. Then off the boat and up to Edinburgh, up to Skye, back to London for a few days then back to SA.

On a boaty note we hope to go back to Sheffield where we bought our boat last year

We'll got back from our trip today, weather has not been great but it's Britain, so what would you expect lol.

 

Big thanks to the chap that helped us as he was passing at Calcut locks, much obliged with the helping hand, managed to get to where we were going quicker.
