I have purchased a macwester wight 30 sail boat 1970 with bmc captains diesel .I'm looking for any and all information I can find. Pictures, Manuals,parts etc. Any info you have would be appreciated. The motor has not run for about three years. Anything I should know before I turn it over?

Parts from ASAP Supplies, Calcutt Boats AMC/Thorneycroft. Filters, alternator belt - almost any motor factors. Manual, buy from Calcutt boats or look here:http://the-norfolk-broads.co.uk/downloads/bmc1500L-diesel-workshop-manual.pdf

 

Captain was the Newage/Tempest name for the engine, most just call it a BMC 1.5 nowadays.
