There's a little bit of me that thinks it has nothing to do with visitor moorings, from the funny map I've seen it seems to be built up areas which, for me, points towards residents who bought houses near a canal that are doing everything they can to keep boats away from 'their' bit of canal.

 

Again places I avoid but this saga is affecting the whole feeling amongst the CC'ing community. Frankly ruining it :(
