Seeking offcut of 6mm Masterboard (fire board). Or share purchase cost.

Hi Guys.

 

I'm looking for about a 100 square cm piece of 6mm Masterboard (fireboard). I don't want to buy the whole 240cm by 140cm piece. It's expensive, and I'll have to waste most of it. Does anyone have an offcut of 6mm Masterboard that I could buy / take?

 

Or would anyone like to split the board and the cost with me?

 

I'm based in Oxford and am often in London. But can drive to you if it's not too far away.

Canalshopman (on here) cut some up to size for me and posted it out. Top shop.

The concrete aquapanel from wickes meets the minimum thermal requirements in the spec - you do have to leave a generous gap though.

Thanks. Presumably the aquapanel can be bought in smaller pieces than 240x140 cm. 'Generous gap'?

Yes indeed - I bought a piece from B&Q 90cm x 120cm

Find a stove shop that does installs and ask if they have any offcuts.Got a cheap 3x2 sheet of 12mm fireboard last year doing that.The shop are happy because they reduce wastage on a job.
