We are considering taking our boat to York later this year.

We have not done he tidal Trent(or any other tidal river) before and would welcome advice from the old hands hereabouts.

we haven't done the tidal bit yet - but bought the Richlow guide in preparation for doing it - lots of useful info. The Yorkshire waterways one which we also have covers the Ouse too.

I asked the same question a few weeks ago here http://www.canalworld.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=45087 and got some good answers.But.

 

Annoyingly and embarrassingly we have had to change our plans again for the second time this year and unfortunately we will not be able to do it.

 

All the good answers will not be wasted though and will refer back to them hopefully for next year, in the mean time they are all yours.
