Barnby Dun lift Bridge east bank approximately 10m downstream of the sanitary station

A void has appeared behind the wall on the bridge approach. A diving survey is required to design remedial works. Skippers of vessels are advised to slowdown approach with caution and follow any instructions given by the dive contractors. A short delay maybe necessary to clear the divers from the water. The divers “A” flag will be displayed.

Towpath Diversion A void has appeared in the towpath behind the wall adjacent the sanitary station. The area has been marked by temporary fencing. Special instructions: Towpath users should remain behind the temporary fencing. Craft should not moor against the wall marked by the temporary fencing. Additional mooring is available downstream of the fencing and at the up streamside of the bridge. BW apologises for any inconvenience. The towpath is also closed
