27/28 july. narrowboats on the mersey

bw are now inviting boats to take part in what will probably be the final canal boat rally from eldonian village to the albert dock.

as the link will be in place for capital of culture year no further passage along the river will be needed.

 

this event i am told will be part of the home coming welcome for round the world race boats.

 

i am waiting for more details from the bw organiser but anyone interested can contact bw wigan office and get a liverpool contact number for further info.

 

has anyone has done this river mersey trip?

if so can you advise what the essential requirements are regarding safety ect

life jackets/belts,anchor,alternative propulsion.

 

bw say they have lots of enquiries so far and are happy with the excellent response.
