What is the starter motor for, there may be an equivalent.

Is the starter motor physically there? If so it can probably be either repaired or reconditioned, depending on what is wrong with it.

Failing that it may be possible to get a service exchange unit.

I cannot source one for less than £200 wholesale. I would agree that repair looks like the best option.

Autostart in Worcester were very helpful with me and got me a cheap equivalent to my Paris starter motor when it died. I assume you've explored the possibility of repair.

thank you everyone for your help i have now found a company in sutton coldfield that will do an exchange unit for £170 plus vat
