Mooring needed.

Hi, Im looking for a 70' mooring near Tring, Berkhamsted, Hemel or Kings Langley, or around about that location, would help if its secure and none towpath side.

I maybe working near to Welham Green longterm and need to find space for the boat.

If you are happy to have your boat in a marina, then there is Cowroast Marina at Tring, Middlesex Boat Services at Winkwell (near Hemel and British waterways Marina at Apsley

As you probably know, there are very few off-side (non towpath) moorings that become available in that area.

 

What may well work against you is the requirement for 70 feet.

 

Whilst Cow Roast marina (for example) have advertised vacancies for a while now, even if they offered you, you would probably find a full length boat hard work to get on to, or off of, most of their pontoons.

 

You have just missed the possibility of bidding on a towpath mooring at Marsworth, that sold for just the reserve price of £1685.

 

Versus the silly bids that there have been on moorings there, (twice that easily), and sometimes in excess of £4K, that shows how much auctioned mooring prices have collapsed.
