Just been reading about the 'Aquatic centre' (big swimming pool).

 

Original estimate: £75,000,000

 

It doubled: £150,000,000

 

So, design/building scaled down by two thirds, that means we are only getting one third.

 

Expected completion, next year, cost: £248,000,000

 

So, my estimate, if we had stuck to the original design, £744,000,000

Is it just me that thinks "Aquatic Centre" sounds more like a tropical fish shop than a sporting venue?
