FrigateCaptain
So, we've been afloat just over a month now and finaly getting used to the boat and how things work on the towpath, We picked the boat up from Hilperton after in was transported down from Anderton. We then had a quick jaunt down to BFH to load all our possesions aboard (and the cat), the trip down was choppy and we hit the spring tide and got into trouble with lockie at Netham, you live and learn We then legged it back to bath with another boat (Bristol Blue), since then, we've have water pumps fail, batterys fail, 12v sockets catching fire and patrol notices from BW (why do people remove signs for PH only moorings? After a quick chat with BW it was all sorted though). We've learnt a lot about inland waterway living so far and met some really great people (and bastard canoists) We've jumped straight from dry land into this and can honestly say, its been the best move yet. The only regret is we didnt get a boat with a solid fuel stove........ Next year maybe
