Going down to the Nene in spring, does anyone know a good book / guide that covers this stretch?

Try talking to Sue on NB No Problem. She has been on the Fens for most of the Summer and has kind of made up her own guide to supplement the official books.

She is on the forum as "Sue" or you can check out her blog

The guide I have is not a map but a spiral bound book similar in format to Nicholson but with a lot less detail outside of the actual navigation notes. Sorry I can't give you a title 'cos mine is still on the boat and I'm not, but I did see it on sale at several boat-yards and chandleries on the Nene.
