Any other comments: Affiliated with the narrowboat heritage foundation, the historic narrowboat club, waterways action squad, and just about every other waterways organisation the YWBS was formed in 2008 and aims to create a society to try and promote not only the UK canals and waterways to young people but also encourage the younger generation to get envolved an on boat, as well as learning and making use of correct and efficient boat techniques as used by working boats and experienced canal users.

Our aims are to; promote the UK canals to target the younger generation, encourage the use of boats and historic narrowboats by young people and to teach members traditional boating techniques and allow them chance to but these practices to use.

The Society is open to anyone with and interest in Canals and Boating under the age of 35 as well as a select number of Affiliated members.
