Mooring available - Abingdon, River Thames

I am a trustee of a charity which looks after a lovely old listed house in the centre of Abingdon with landscaped gardens and a water frontage just off the main stream of the river. The house is used for community and spiritual purposes by a wide variety of faiths as well as for bed and breakfast.

We have a single mooring for a narrow boat which is expected to become available from the end of September. The mooring is secure, although easily accessible to a keyholder, and electricity and water is available. However residential use or more than occasional nights on board would not be permitted. Car parking on site is restricted although there is a public car park and all town facilities and plentiful buses are close to hand

The charge would be £2000 per annum irrespective of the length of boat (up to about 57ft) which shows a considerable saving over local commercial moorings and which would go towards Trust funds.

If you are would like to register your interest please PM in the first instance. The gardens are often used for quite contemplation and occasionally art and tai chi so an appreciation of peace and harmony would be useful!
