You should have a residual current device (RCD) on board and a miniature circuit breaker (MCB). If you overloaded the line, the MCB will have tripped - it's effectively a fuse. The RCD trips if there is an earth fault which, based on what you say, is not the issue here.

The worrying thing is that you say your inverter still works, which implies it is not connected through the RCD and the MCB via an inverter/mains switch. It must be connected through the RCD and MCB or have its own set of these.

If you don't have an onboard RCD and MCB then get one fitted for your own safety plus the fault must be onshore. If you do have one and it hasn't tripped, then the fault again must be onshore.

Due to using an electric heater 1.8kw and then the toaster I have caused the shoreline power to trip out .I have been told the line is ok and it has not tripped anythiny onshore suggesting its on the boat. Can anyone let me know what has tripped or fused. Everything else inverter ect still woking ok.

Thanks Colin

Don't rely on someone else telling you it's ok, check for yourself. It's probably an MCB or fuse. Test the shore supply by plugging in something that you know works and if ok work towards the boat until you find it, if not, work the other way to the shore. If using a 13amp plug top in the shore supply then replace the fuse.
