Had another quote today, here are the details:

 

Shoreline Connector Fitting £80 - Parts £20.58

Change Over Switch batter Isolator and Consumer Unit Fitting £60 - Parts £186.11

Victron Battery Charger Fitting £60 - Parts £274

Galvanic Isolator Fitting £15 - Parts £93.50

Earth Bond To Vessels Hull Fitting £30 - No Part Cost

Cables, Wires, Connectors and Crimps No Labor - £50 Parts

 

Travel to job is under 40

 

 

Overall I am looking at over £1000 for the job.

 

 

So what can I barter on Chaps, as the price is going up up up!

Most Stirling inverters can operate in UPS mode, and won't need a changeover switch.

 

The only downside would be that you would have to connect your genny to the deck socket when you wanted to use generator power.

 

Do you know if your inverter can operate in UPS mode and are you sure it is not also a charger? If so this can save a lot of money requiring only a shoreline, a powerpoint with built in RCD, a hull earth connection plus a GI if you think you need it. This assumes you have already installed powerpoints with an RCD and consumer unit for the inverter output.
