just had this from go industries auctions this maybe the reason the towpaths and maintinence is not being done in some areas they are selling off all the tools to do it

nations biggest eyesores as we've sold it all off. Visitors will be busily trying to keep

away from any experience of it and many will want it filled in and turned into railways."
