Some pillock smashed the paddle gear on lock 2 so it's closed. they're hoping it'll be open again tomorrow but not too sure at this minute in time, watch this space, I'll update this evening.

Boater or vandal?

Bit of both by the looks of it, they were a bit of a youth club or something on a camping boat. Lots of spots, nylon and attitude.

 

I had a go at 'em as I thought they'd left a paddle up but when I went to look the rack was hanging off the rail and the amount of water getting out was broken paddle territory.

 

At least now they're fixing the other paddle that's been taped off since last year... silver linings and all that.
