Orca Posted March 22, 2008 Report Share Posted March 22, 2008 Just a quick question: If one's engine doesn't have a pre-threaded point on the cylinder block for the pressure sensor to locate into, it is impossible to fit an oil pressure gauge. This always used to be the way one fitted such things in the past as I remember from many moons ago (leaving aside any new electronic jiggery-pokery). Gauges are in two types as I recall, the really old ones that just have an oil pipe leading into the back of the gauge, or an electrically (not electronic) controlled device via a voltage pulse. I could be wrong with the latter... You can get 'T' adapters that you put into the existing point for the Oil warning light sensor, and then put the on/off and variable sensors into that.
