During one of our routine inspections, we identified a leak in the embankment between Lock 10 and Lock 11 on the Audlem Flight of the Shropshire Union Canal. To protect the waterway and prevent any further damage, we will need to temporarily close the Audlem lock flight so that our dedicated team can carry out the vital repairs.

We fully understand that this may impact your plans, and we want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to complete the repairs quickly and efficiently. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and greatly appreciate your patience.

A further update will be provided on Thursday 17 October.
