Hi everyone, seen a boat a like the look of seem pretty tidy inside and out. Although of course do not know about hul and obviously would get a survey. However, only fly in the ointment is the engine (RIGA)which through my research on this forum. I have discovered that they are very noisy. If this is the case I would like to replace it but I know engine are expensive and many would say just look for a boat that has the engine you want. Could anyone tell me the rough cost of replacement please?

Hi All There is a one fifth share, or perhaps more, available on our lovely character-full Springer narrowboat., 43 foot long, built in 1988. Though her 32 years of age are beginning to show on the edges, the boat has been well maintained, including having been lifted for hull blacking every 2 years. Several years of maintenance details and costs are available for you to see. We're a small friendly group and very flexible with dates etc. We have no home mooring - we're continuous cruisers, but we usually take a 3 month winter mooring, often around the Lower Heyford area. If you’d like to share in the fun and pleasure of owning your own boat, but share the cost and commitment, see the advert online for more details: https://www.boatshare.co.uk/shared-narrow-boat-grainne-mhaol.html Or please pass this information on to someone who might be interested. Thanks. BP

Hi does anyone know the boat https://www.apolloduck.com/boat/evans-sons-70-traditional/607737 year 2001 “Home at last” 507322. It doesn’t match the boat index : that number is allocated a boat called potemkin. Or another in historical data “frenchlands II” Nothing for Home at last. There is no date on the bill of sale transferring the boat from a Derek Jones and a Theresa Cabot to a Joe Riley. Which is weird is it not? And the broker says there’s a journal of work done but no receipts have been produced. I’m buying at a distance and have arranged Chris Williams as surveyor. But am nervous to get it right. Big thanks for replies. I’m yet to make an offer and any help in that regard would be much appreciated too.
