  1. No I'm not, I think I ought to have purchased a less complicated charger, but being a gadget man I just had to have, this'l teach me!!!! thanks to all, I think I will have to take it to a local garage and see if they can explain it to me Thanks all
  2. To answer the question on accuracy of my multimeter, I am unsure but today I left it on the 13.6 supply charge and the battery now measures 12.59v, this is a new battery. To answer the second point from Grasshopper, it goes to the green at the top icon for a flleeting second then goes back to start.
  3. I have checked voltage, when no battery attached and set at 14.7 volts the voltage drops to zero when red indicator fail lights comes on, except when on supply cycle(13.6V) which then shows 14.02 volts? when battery attached it only shows state of battery
  4. oops, will get hang of this one day. Thanks both, I have checked that it is set to 14.7v and when I check voltage across battery it only shows 12.57v!!! The leds go to picture which shows low battery for aprox 2 seconds, then goes to position showing 3/4 full for couple of seconds then full for 4-5 seconds then back to start point, Does this sound right?
  5. I have a CTEK multi XS 7000 battery charger and am not sure that it is working properly. I have read the instructions and am still no wiser. can anyone tell me a simple way of checking its function, please I mean simple.
  6. I haven't had an Eu10i, but have had the kipor 1000ti, it lasted almost three years before the engine gave up the ghost, engine hrs were approx 1200hrs in that time, I have since bought another kipor this time the 3000ti which produces 2.6kw continuous output and runs for 9hrs on auto throttle. It will run all the electrics on my caravan, Colour Tv and Sky sat, and the wife can still plug in and hoover whilst I,m on my Laptop. payed £365 on that aution site equivalent honda is in excess of £1000. HTH 1000ti models only produce about 800w continuous.
