Internet/data access on boats -- some tips
I thought you just logged into the router to change channel. I can with the Huawei B535. I'm just not sure how to know which channel is best.

Is 60:40 Mandatory can I variate?
I pulled into a marina last year for diesel and asked if I needed to fill out a declaration. "Yes" he said "but just sign it Donald Duck". "How do you know my name", I says

O What fun.
Wow scary as - stay safe Alan

Problem with Leece Neville alternator not charging.
My beloved Prestolite AV28 died last year. Regrettably parts are no longer available. I hope you have better luck.

And the latest is.....
I'm afraid nobody is listening.

And the latest is.....
There were warnings about both Toddbrook and Middlewich. C&RT's inspector warned about Middlewich years before the collapse. Then C&RT blame it on a paddle left up.

And the latest is.....
The difference better decisions would make to some boaters would be very helpful and wouldn't cost that much. Take Plank Lane as an example. Wigan flight as another. And if you want serious silly decisions consider the avoidable costs of: 'wait until it fails' - Toddbrook and Middlewich aquaduct. There are other examples.

No matter what I say you would challenge it. Meet me sometime for a beer and I will give you many examples of where improvements could be made and of inept management decisions. If you were honest you could probably come up with a few yourself, but you prefer to criticise anything that doesn't fit with your own view. You seem to be one of the few who are happy to just accept the shocking state and decline of the system and content to blame the government. You don't understand the concept of smarter working calling it BS, so whats the point in debating further? Please put me on ignore then you won't need to respond to my posts and the world will be a better place.

And the latest is.....
You are an obnoxious, childish, bullshit merchant who claims to know everything about anything. You cry when someone offers an alternative solution. You fling subtle insults then pretend you're innocent. You are indeed the world's leading troll. As others have previously said you are indeed a dick. Please put me on ignore. And before you respond my dad is bigger than your dad!

And the latest is.....
Now who's flinging insults? You may wish to put me on ignore as my next response to you will make you cry 'foul' //GFY//

Not until I'm in post otherwise Parry will steal my plan and take all the credit 😜
-
And the latest is.....
I'd go with that

But it's not just the system that's a shambles it's the management too. Need someone who understands waterways and is prepared to bang heads together to get the organisation working smarter. Now back to my question to you. Where exactly is Parry doing a good job?
-
And the latest is.....
Doesn't stop you repeating endlessly your point of view either. Other points of view are available. Tell me exactly where Parry is doing a good job. The C&RT is a shambles and an embarrassment. You cannot pretend otherwise.
-
And the latest is.....
Just looked at C&RTs notices page there are TWENTY EIGHT stoppages today. And some on here think Parry is doing a good job.
-
And the latest is.....
Yes we do but we also get services and security CCers don't get. C&RT are skint, don't make the best of what they do have and there's no money coming from the government. We all need to find a bit more. Some will give up but others will anyway if the system continues this decline. A serious root and branch change is required.
-
And the latest is.....
But if we all paid a higher rate there maybe more money to fix things and less admin required.
-
And the latest is.....
The majority of those who completed the survey i.e. 26% of all boaters, hardly a mandate. Unless you do, I don't know any boater who agrees with the surcharge. Was all boaters paying a higher rate an option on the survey?

And the latest is.....
Same up here, we have passed so many hire bases with a lot of boats tied up. Then again who wants to pay £1k plus with the chance of not being able to complete a ring or getting held up by a lock failure.
-
And the latest is.....
I suggest the problems we have suffered in Yorkshire for the last 4 years are migrating south. I wonder what will happen when the big hire fleets get hammered 🤔

Diesel propulsion splits - new advice from HMRC?
Only about half of the vendors I've used in the last two years mentioned splits or asked me to sign any declaration.

TFX Morse Control won't disengage gearbox
Not so easy on Midnight but I'll take a look when we get back to base. I was hoping someone may have an understanding of how it disengages and suggest a quick fix.
-
TFX Morse Control won't disengage gearbox
No but I suspect I will have to hit it with a new TFX control 😏

Webastos radiators and thermostats
Yes I disagree. I never mentioned radiators. I merely posted a diagram which prevents cycling on and off using a room stat. What about this statement do you disagree with?

Webastos radiators and thermostats
The LoverlyLaura asked Has anyone done this ? Or how would I do this ...as in most of the units in the shops don't seem to run this way .. I provided an answer. As usual you turn the thread into a competition between your superior knowledge and anyone else who has a suggestion.
