Thank you Tony. Via another discussion I`ve mentioned potentially placing the boat on the market and the requirement of a RCR so having a qualified person appraise the situation ( which I most certainly not) is in my and any potential buyers interest.
You do mean RCD...
I wouldn't get RCR to change a lightbulb.

Lock 8 was supposedly worked on in the winter program but clearly bodged!
How hard is it to fix a paddle before the other one breaks and causes a stoppage? "Wait until it breaks completely" policy is a disgrace. And don't blame lack of money it's same cost and cheaper than a sponsored Facebook advert
Stoke Bruerne flight was closed Jan-mid March for gates, cill protectors and other works. The missing lower gate paddle at lock 18 which has not been there for 18 months wasnt re-instated while this was going on.

There is a LOT of difference between the various Midnight Blues produced. Symphony standard midnight blue is different from the Symphony Midnight Blue Masons P type copy produced for us a few years ago.
Craftmaster MB is probably more like the MasonsP was.

I'm not really surprised, I know that because of their reputation and 'quality' I had to book 18 months in advance.
I'm sure it'll all go well for you, Langley Mill have a strong following so they must be doing "summat right"
The price is VERY right, its £5 a foot and more expensive down the main GU.!!

There was a guy around in 2009 when I last looked that could trace Gardner engines through their serial #
Mine was apparently used previously as a deck winch from a vessel c1947.
Long since had to sell the boat (Secret Garden) but hope it's still going strong.
If that's the Stowe Hill Secret Garden then yes, still going, resold by RBS in about 2018 I recall.
My 2L2 from 1943 was originally in an liverpool dock crane, no idea of its interim history until its installation in Old Friends in about 1996 by Duncan Penkey.

Pretty sure I saw Baltic over last weekend between Campbell Park and Stoke Bruerne.
I cant be any more accurate than that unfortunately.

Many of the painters I work with use Kleen Edge tape....
Pretty much all we use unless masking curves or patterns, where we often use the Craftsmaster red tape. I called the Kleenedge Pinctura Fresca for years until actually taking note of the outer packaging....

Not sure that I remember correctly but I think that above that bridge the river splits, the navigable channel is to the right and there is a channel/backwater off to the left with various boats moored, so it is quite possible that its not even CRT water.
The main navigation channel turns left into Barrow Deep Lock, the river Carrie's straight on west in a big loop past Quorn and returns to the navigation channel at Barrow boating sluices and wier.
It is all private riparisn owner operated mooring land, not CRT waters.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread. For even pressure on the frame, pull up the rivets little by little by releasing the tool levers and removing to pull up another rivet a little, ''opposites'' until they snap off. Similar to tightening engine cylinder heads, bit by bit.
Works for me every time

Just add the cost of it onto the licence fee, or make it a fee for first application.
Forgive the pun, but compared to the cost of enforcement , the pamphlet cost would be peanuts.

Besides, I think the people who flaunt the rules by staying in one place for too long etc know perfectly well of the rules and choose to ignore them...a little pamphlet isn't going to make a difference.
The little pamphlet would have given CRT the first points in the battles with the Lee Anderson, JonathanGulis types who are coming to the waterways and saying after 6 months, .
"I didn't know, nobody told me, why should I?"

C&RT have told me that all mooring agreements are cancelled when a property changes hands. New owners have to apply.
C&RT tell us lots of things that stretch the truth or hope that you dont investigate further and find out that they were incorrect.

No they haven't, they have had to increase prices across the broad with every cost oncoming increasing in some cases exponentially.
