We went away Easter weekend for the week and had been watching the severn for some time previous and unfortunately for us it didn't change and still hasn't !

We did tardebigge twice in our week doing 180 looks in total we did it the first way three and a half hours and going back we did it in two and a half so it was a challenge

We got as far as Worcester basin and all was on red traffic lights from there so ended up doing 180 locks instead of 130 ! Wootton Wawen and back 🙄

Obviously if any of it's red then they won't let you pass...good luck

I'm guessing the severn must be open again now then Check them because it looks like some are still red

Update we've now been moved to wootton Wawen to start our trip... So we'll definitely be attempting the Avon ring although there is now a boat stuck in a lock near Worcester and the severn could be flooded 🤦🏼‍♀️

That's a good idea about the right direction yes we'll do that ! I'll try the profile thing I don't have either of those settings 😞

Yes true but we really want to do the tardebigge in whatever capacity ! Didn't think it could be possible in the first day.... My brother is a bit tentative me and my son etc just want to get on with it 🤣

Ok thanks for the information ! I have been told about the severn liable to flood .... fingers crossed. Well we're pretty sure that we would /could do in a week weather and water permitting, as we're all quite fit and able.......

Well that sounds good it could be doable if we leave early enough. Although we are going Easter Saturday so I'm not sure how busy it will be 😬 Easter Saturday start date !

Was wanting similar advice for a 1 week hire 😬

We are having a boat from tardebigge for one week and hopefully intend to do the Avon ring. What are people's thoughts on that there are four active members on board that I used to doing lots of locks and covering distance. I know the topic has been covered but should we attempt the lock flight on the first day if we get away at a reasonable hour ?
