  1. well there is still money in it until quantum computers become ubiquitous
  2. I may be mentally disabled, but at 47 I can safely say to myself, "I Dont know every thing, whats wrong with asking a bunch of people who do know about this one thing?"
  3. Well apart from sitting in front of this computer for 16 hours plus, I have nothing to do except the online university course I am doing in health science, and soon some digital voluntary work. All I really do is same damn thing everyday, course, youtube, whatsapp and similar
  4. I have similar problems, as I have a specialist laptop that requires 2 new USB ports and its doable but not by me I have found a place and they can do a few other thing like fitting 1-2 hard drives and a bracket, thankfully the service manual are open to public, its a Dell Rugged Extreme 7424 with a 4gb gpu and 32gb ram and an NVMe 2tb hard drive, there are better gaming laptops but this one wont break easily as I'm clumbsy but it plays modern games so I'm happy
  5. Well if you need a computer built, repaired, updated I'm your man or I can point in right direction. If you need a stage built with trusses, lighting and cabling and security I can help there to used to be a Roadie

Well, thx for the upvote on my decision I had decided a few days ago but was hit with 10 more negative comments, a GRP Project is not for me as a canal boat is a dream and I shall wait and save perhaps I can make a better find and when I do I will ask all of you.... is there anyway I can set this thread as solved, please?

Ok, thank you all again, I wish I wasn't an idiot but thankfully you helped me not follow through on my idiocy. I hope in the future you can help me again....

  13. thx to all of you I may have saved 1000s as an outboard engine that can power batteries is better and meets my needs a due to dietary requirements all I need is a portable freezer and a mini oven or a gas hob, and I'm sorted for using laptop and tablet or charging phone... no, I have a severe learning disability and wasted 5 years of my life learning, shockingly University is easier the 3rd time round.... 18. really?? so I'm not buying or wanting to buy another piece of excrement, any suggestion on what and how to and anything else would be great..... it does need an engine for obvious reasons and some sort of charger with batteries and the rest as and when, but how do I make it look nicer and should I get it looked at like some sort of survey, any suggestions welcomed, I'm not looking to build a palace more functional/utilitarian then save up the 1000£ extra or so and move it to main network...
  19. well it would be a work in progress I got nearly enough to purchase and same again to get it to basic lined then it would be piecemeal till it has engine and batteries 4000£ or near enough but I do have a lot of disposable income due to diet I added pictures if this helps and they say I can work on where it is £557.23 every three months but I may be able to pay weekly
